AIDA of Amazon.com 9/25/2013
Attention- My attention is immediately drawn to the "Try Prime" right below the amazon logo in the top left hand corner. Upon clicking on the link you discover that amazon prime is a great product that amazon offers as an upgrade to the site, offering free 2-day shipping on pre-approved products by amazon, free streaming of TV shows and movies in HD through their video player, and a free 30-day trail of this service. All this is located right near the search bar and easy to access categorical menu of all different products and services on the right.
Interest- The "kindle fire" has and continues to be a popular tablet so offering their newest fire will definitely interest current users and future customers. Also, there is a link directed towards college students where they can buy books, supplies, computers, software, etc. The deals that they offer are sure to interest students and parents of students alike.
Desire- Amazon is one of my favorite online stores because it customizes your page so that based off of the products that you have either viewed or bought, it will recommend products in which you might be interested. Most of the time I do find something that does appeal to me.
Action- My shopping cart is also easily accessible at the top right hand corner and tells me how many items that are currently located there. Once clicking on the shopping cart, a "one-click purchase" option becomes available, where if I have shopped there before, they have my info saved so I don't have to waste time inputting everything again. They often have the best prices which creates a desire to come first to amazon and not even bother to waste your time at other sites.

NBC's Homepage 9/27/3013
Attention- Upon arriving at the NBC website I quickly discovered that like many other websites these days, they have a scrolling advertisement for their shows. The fact that the picture ad scrolls about every 5-10 seconds captures my attention because of the movement on the screen but also because of the different choices that you have on each screen that rolls by. Nothing else grabs my attention this over-sized scrolling advertisement for new and most popular shows. You have to search a bit to find the search option tucked away and in the right hand corner which matches the same font as everything else around it making it almost camouflaged to the viewer. There's also an awkwardly placed ad banner for a Microsoft laptop that you can barely read or see the image.
Interest- The whole point of the scrolling advertisement is to create an interest into the shows they are broadcasting. With each new slide that scrolls into view, you try and see when the show is on, what critics say about it, and if there is an option to watch it online. There is also a drop down menu at the top of the page that allows you to view all their shows that they broadcast, a full schedule, and a list of shows out of which you may view previous full episodes.
Desire- The option to view episodes of shows that have been on recently is the biggest pull to this website. Most people know can find out programming information from their cable or satellite provider. Due to the limited visibility and spacing of the Microsoft banner and unfamiliar jargon I really don't even know what I am looking at and have no desire to click on the link and find out more.
Action- It's most appealing to click on the huge pics of the shows that scroll by and watch clips of the show. The drop down menu of the full episodes is also convenient to go to if you missed your favorite show last week.
